Noah's Ark Children's Home

      The home in Buisa, Uganda was built purely on generous donations, in 2008. The home is on a 5 acre lot and holds up to 25 children. The hope is to continue the ministry with more self-sustaining ways such as farming, growing crops and bio gas.  Noah’s Ark is run by Prossy Hamire (Orphanage Director) and her husband Lucas Hamirie (Wesleyan District Superintendent). The home has four house moms, social worker, nurse, and three guards.  Noah's Ark works closely with the local Probation Officer and Police to help provide care for orphans from the surrounding areas.  Due to the country closing their adoption program, the need for the orphanage is tremendous.  As the children  continue to get older and number continues to grow, there was a need for more space.  At the beginning of 2020 the boys’ dormitory was completed.  The complex is now home to 36 vulnerable children.
